- I don't claim to be a professional but I do love to decorate cakes. Everything I've done is self learned. If there is something you would like that you don't see e-mail me at dedescakes@gmail.com and I sure can try. I only do buttercream icing but can cut decorations out of fondant (and I use marshmellow fondant...because it tastes good.) I start charging $2.00 per serving for 3+ layer cakes and $1.50 per serving for 2 layer cakes. Pricing depends on the decorations and time it takes to make. I also will have a small delivery charge depending on where the cake needs to be delivered.
